I’m so glad to take time and share my first Grammy experience with everyone. It was an experience I will never forget and it totally inspired me in many ways. People don’t realize how much time and effort artists put in to achieve their personal goals. All the voice lessons, composing songs, long hours, basically dedicating their whole lives to music. Passion for music is something i can relate too. My passion for music made going to the Grammy Awards a surreal experience! I am inspired to create my own path as I grow as an artist, this year and years to come. At 16, i know the journey will be an open book.
First off, running into Taylor Swift had to be a highlight. She has a warm spirit around her and she just glows. She was kind, as usual, to me and those around her. Meeting Elvis Costello, Ryan Seacrest, and Norah Jones was a plus… and even Slash was just hanging around. I also got a peak at Katy Perry on the red carpet and she is soooo beautiful in person. The performances were amazing and I was honored to be with the good people from “People” Magazine. I am so thankful for having this opportunity because of them. I did see Perez running around and smiling and Lady GaGa was seated in the front, blocking the view for the man behind her. She can. She’s Lady GAGA! Lol I just love her music and consider her a major talent for our time. P!nk is at the peak of her career and she is so flexible, wow! I would have killed myself. lol. Beyonce was amazing, as usual, and so cute with her hubby Jay-Z. I also love Jamie Foxx. I attended a private-party where he performed and he is so talented, words can’t express. I saw Snookie in the lobby of my hotel but I was shy too say hi. hahahhahaha. Dressing up for 4 nights in a row was fun and exciting, it’s nice to be home in jeans though…
I did have time for a writing session out in LA while I was there. I also met up with my good friends at FanLaLa. We shot a video segment and we have some really fun footage for everyone!
This year at the Grammys, you could feel the presence of Haiti and the relief they desperately need. I still continue to pledge my time and efforts along with Free The Children. Hopefully can make some small difference. Hats off to all the artists who were involved with the “We Are the World” remake. I’m sure the proceeds will help make a dent in help for the children and families of Haiti.
Thanks for reading and look for more blogs soon. I will be performing at Pop-Con on February 20th at the Nassau Coliseum and I’ve been working extra hard to put on a great show. Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Push Play, Nat & Alex and soooo many other great artists will be performing too! I hope to see you there.
